Summer Student Looking For Work in Care/Helping
Hi! I am a student at Swarthmore looking for work primarily in child or senior care but also cleaning and helping jobs on weekends over the summer. I am an Education and Psychology major with experience working with and caring for children ages newborn to 13 years old in a childcare/daycare context and ages 5-17 in an educational context. I’ve also worked as a counselor/mentor for high school students. I can provide background checks and child safety certifications.

Looking for afternoon babysitter in Media for Fall 2024
Looking for an afternoon babysitter for an 8 year old girl and a 4 year old boy starting September 2024. Mom and Dad work a combination of remotely and in-office, and we need some help for after school pickup/early evening.
On Tues/Weds/Thurs we’d need a sitter to pick up the 4 yo at preschool at 3 pm, then bring him home and wait for the 8 yo to get off the bus in our driveway at 4:15 pm. Job would include playing, helping unpack from school, preparing kids an easy dinner a couple of times a week. Must have your own car. Pay is $23 per hour.

Moving help needed on Friday 06/14
I am a faculty member looking for a group of ~4 students to help execute a move in the Philadelphia area. Your tasks will include packing and lifting boxes and furniture at the first apartment, loading items securely into a Uhaul, and then unloading them at the second apartment. The apartment is a 1-bedroom and contains a bed, desk, bookshelves, a couch, a TV, etc.
The loading site is a 3rd floor walk-up in Media. The unloading site is a large apartment building with a cargo elevator in Center City Philadelphia near Jefferson Station.
I will give you a ride from your residence to the apartment in Media. I will also arrange transportation for you from Media to Center City. I may also be able to give you a ride back home; if not, you should be able to take the Media/Wawa Line from Jefferson Station to Swarthmore station and I will reimburse you.
If you have any SEPTA fare expenses, you will be reimbursed. Note that you will *not* be driving the moving truck.
The time commitment should be 4-6 hours, and I will suggest a timeline of 2 PM to ~6-8 PM. Depending on how many hands we have, it could take shorter or longer. You will earn a flat rate of $80, via Venmo or (if you prefer) in cash.
